REGARDING: MANDATORY WATER METER REPLACEMENT
Biwabik Public Utilities will soon be replacing the aging water meter INSIDE YOUR HOME. Specific instructions regarding the scheduling of an appointment for this replacement will be sent to you by mail from HydroCorp, our meter replacement contractor. Once you receive your letter it will have a customer code on it. To schedule your appointment, please visit www.watermeterinstall.com using your code or, call a HydroCorp customer service representative at 1-800-315-4305 M-F 7 AM – 5 PM.
It is important to know your existing water meter continues to accurately track your water consumption. The new water meter system is designed to last longer and will give you much more control over your water bills than ever before.
Biwabik Public Utilities contracted with HydroCorp, Inc. to replace the water meter at no cost to you. HydroCorp will soon send you a letter with instructions for scheduling the appointment. The notice will include the city logo you see at the top of this letter. A HydroCorp technician will be on-site at your property for approximately 45 minutes to change out the water meter. The technician will be wearing a HydroCorp company shirt and identified as an authorized city contractor.
To prepare for your water meter replacement, you should ensure your meter is accessible and your shut-off valves located on either side of the meter are operable prior to scheduling your appointment.
