Curbside Clean-Up May 26-28

CITY OF BIWABIK CURBSIDE CLEAN-UP

SPRING DATES: MAY 26-28, 2026

The City of Biwabik will hold its annual curbside clean-up from Tuesday, May 26 through Thursday, May 28. This year’s event will be similar to last year, with city employees collecting only specific items on specific days.

Accepted Items by Day:

·         Tuesday, May 26

6-foot lengths of branches or brush (preferably bundled)

Note: Grass, leaves, and other lawn waste will not be collected.

·         Wednesday, May 27

Unmounted tires and scrap metal

Note: Tires still mounted on rims will not be accepted.

·         Thursday, May 28

Appliances

Please place items at the curb in front of your house by 7:00 AM on the scheduled pickup day. Items placed after 7:00 AM or on the wrong day will not be picked up.

City workers will only collect the items listed above. All other items should be taken to the Aurora Transfer Station of an alternative transfer station.

Residents may bring most other household items to the Aurora Transfer Station located at:

5910 Hwy 135 N, Aurora

Hours of Operation:

·         Monday, Thursday, Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

·         Tuesday, Wednesday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

·         Saturday: 8:00 AM - Noon

Household Hazardous Waste Day:

Thursday, May 7, from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM at the Aurora Transfer Station.

There is a small fee to drop items at the transfer station. For more information, please call (218) 229-3479.

Important: Please do not place item at the curb earlier than one week before the clean-up begins.
